This extension to the Buckaroo Payment module ensures a higher conversion rate. The Second Chance functionality is fully white-labelled. E-mails can be sent from your own corporate identity and mail servers. On top of that, the module can optionally also take into account whether or not stock is available.

  • Automatic tracking of unpaid orders
  • Completely customisable follow-up flow
  • Taking into account the active stock
  • Fully white-labeled solution

To make good use of the Magento 2 Second Chance extension, your environment must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Magento Open Source version 2.3.x & 2.4.x
  • Buckaroo M2 Payment module 1.39.0 or greater
  • PHP 7.4 or greater
  • composer require buckaroo/magento2secondchance
  • php bin/magento module:enable Buckaroo_Magento2SecondChance
  • php bin/magento setup:upgrade
  • php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
  • Second Chance enabled: This setting determines whether the Second Chance module is enabled or disabled.
  • Second Chance 1 email enabled: This setting determines whether a first email is sent.
  • Second chance Template: With this setting you can determine which template is used for the first email.
  • Due hours (between 0 and 24hr): This setting determines how many hours after failure of the order the first email is sent.
Additional configuration

All the above settings can be set as desired for both the first and second email. Note: The Due hours are added to the hours of the first email. In short, if you set '8' for the first email and '24' for the second, the second email will be sent 8+24=32 hours after the order has failed.

Also be aware of the fact that Buckaroo Second Chance module relays on bin/magento cron:run this means that the due hours can be affected by this and it can take a bit longer then the set 'hours' before an email is sended. If you follow Magento's recommendations to run cron jobs every minute or once per several minutes then there will be no significant delay.

  • Prune older second chance entries (days): To keep the database clean it is possible to delete the old Second Chance related orders.
  • Multiple emails send per once: With this setting you can ensure that consumers do not receive duplicate Second Chance emails despite repeatedly placing the same order.
